Need help playing PlayStation2 on the computer

I am trying to play my PlayStation2 on the computer by hooking it up with an
S-Video cable. My friend has his PS2 hooked up to his PC and it works fine.
So he told me that I want my PS2 to act as a DVD player and the PC to act as
a TV. I can make the PC act like a TV because I have Media Center, but the
PS2 to act as a DVD player thing is hard. I just want to be able to make
Media Center or some other program (that is free) that will let me play my
PS2 on the PC and let me record it (it doesn't have to do that, but I would
like it if I could do that). Please, I need some help, I really want to do
this. Thanks in advance.
