It's a desktop Sony with a Radeon x300 series Video Card with VGA s-video and
dvi out. I just installed the latest driver from the ATI site. When I
uninstall the vid card's driver, it lets me switch the rez to 1280x720, but
then if the screen saver starts, or if I do anything in the media center, the
rez reverts to 1024x768 leaving me all stretched out.
The Samsung has all kinds of inputs, hdvi/dvi, components, s-video. When I
first hooked it up I used the S-Video as I didn't have a male to male vga. I
could try a dvi and seperate audio feed to see if that cures what ails me,
but the idea of going into my local Radio Shack with their semi-slow staff is
very unappealing to me.
May have to try out that Sony toll free # pretty soon, although that's not
high on my list of really fun and cool things to do either.
