Dana,
Thanks for the reply - I forgot to mention that the processor is an
Athlon XP 2400+ (2 Ghz). I am aware that the MX4000 is a bit
underpowered - but is considered compatible by NVIDIA. I don't expect
fabulous performance, I don't have the budget to put together a more
power system for MCD 2005 today. I do also feel that another
motherboard is probably where I have to go. I am just very curious if
anyone with an ECS K7S5A or even an K7S5A Pro had any luck with the
EVGA NVTV cards. There is virtually nothing in any search I have been
able to do that indicates any compatibility issue between the NVTV and
the SIS 735 chipset - but oddly enough the NVTV box mentions having the
latest chipset drivers for Intel, NVidia nForce, VIA, and AMD - no
mention of any SIS chipsets?
I am actually waiting for a reply from EVGA technical support to see
what they thing.
