It is an odd problem, and my current thoughts are it may be the
motherboard...otherwise I have no idea why adding that tuner in any PCI slot
would suddenly render your secondary IDE inoperative.

In addition, a few thoughts... 384Mb may not be enough - I think MS
recommends 512Mb. You don't say what processor you have or what speed.
Finally, the MX4000 may not cut it either - the approved hardware list has
the nVidia 5200 as a minimum.
