Re: MCE 2005 Error Messages - Cant record

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I cant re-install MCE 2005 from scratch because I dont have the CD, i'd have
to do a reformat to have it re-installed.

Well the computer is new, now about a month old, when i first posted the
problem that was when it first started happening. The menu wouldnt move
after i installed a update for MCE 2005, after the update i ran MCE 2005 and
it was working so i thought it had been the patch that was installed, so i
removed the patch. The menu works after a slight freeze for a few seconds
when it starts. But after that the error messages come up when i try to
record tv, or watch things i recorded before or update the guide. Maybe the
patch caused it to break, but i dont remember what one it was, but i got it
from the Microsoft Update site, no the windows update site.
