Re: DD5.1 from P4P800se Motherboard



I have the exact same "experience". I'm thinking that the problem is only
that crappy piece of software (driver or speakerconfig-tool) that comes with
the mainboard.
What version of the driver are you using? I've seen that Asus offers a
different version to the P4800 SE (SoundMAX Audio Driver version
5.12.01.3630 WHQL driver) than for the Pundit-R (SoundMAX Audio Driver
version V5.12.3860 for Windows 2K/XP). I'm using the higher one for the
Pundit. I will try to use the older one for the P4P800 SE and see if it
behaves different. I will call the Asus Support Germany tomorrow and want
them to take care about our/my problem.
