MC compatibility

Hi,
Please point me in the right direction if this has been answered before.

I am considering purchase of a MC PC.

Questions:
-How 'compatible' is MC with XP Home. Does it involve Service Pack 2 (the
same exact one). I am concerned about MC being a smaller release, and
having bugs that don't get quite worked on, like XP Home does. Please
clarify. Is MC a strict superset, or is is tweaked.

-MC includes IIS. Does it also run Vis. InterDev 6.0?
