Please try directly connecting your MCX to your PC via an Ethernet
cross-over cable to eliminate your network hardware as the source of this
problem. If you don't have a cross-over cable, you can use a regular
straight through Ethernet cable and then toggle the MDI/MDIX switch on the
back of the MCX to be in the MDIX (cross-over) position.
