Re: snoring memory while computer idles

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hello!

I'm back to the newsgroup. The actions I took have not have brought the
results I wished. The malicious Codecs or whatever it is being is being
back.

It came back as I activated an AMD screensaver I love most. After that I
deleted the entries in the registry under drivers.desc and Drivers32. Not a
success. I know one should not take such kind of actions, editing the
registry this way, but it often works.

An other plus but I could not down with the deletion of the audio and video
Codecs was, the first time the computer went to standby and than to the is
this the right translation 'sleep mode' when this process was not running. I
does it but manually only not after 20 min as it is scheduled.

Pease does anyone have further comments on that. I could apprehend, there
lots of other folks out there that must deal with the same trouble and also
would appreciate really having a clue for this. I myself as I said remember
this twice but with Windows 98 SE. Thank's!
