Yep, that gets me the same correct answer for what I have either way.
It appears that your first memory slot may have a bad address line and is
detecting only 1/2 of the memory in that slot. Is there any way you can run
using only 1 slot with a 512 MB chips and change which slot that is?
Is there any guidance in your system manual concerning memory chip
configuration that might help?
Is the BIOS properly picking up the correct speed of the chips your are
using?
Is the BIOS also reporting the incorrect value?
