ATI X300SE TV-OUT PROBLEM

I was trying to get Media Center to display on my tv using my ATI X300SE
tv-out using a svideo->composite adapter then to a modulator so I can run it
over rg6 to another room. Works in black and white with a 4 pin adapter and
will not work with a 7-pin adapter. I am assuming I need some special
adapter from ATI but did not want to pay the $20 from their site to find out
I still get black and white. As a side note I am in the states and have
never seen a SCART adapter in my life! The settings are NTSC-M in the ATI
control panel as well. If this works then I have got my extender that can
play divx/vobs finally all for the low cost of an adapter/remote
extender/line-out splitter. Anyone have similiar setups with comments? I
would like to know how to run media center on the tv and have my montior have
a normal desktop (Wife and Kid Friendly.) Is that possible? With the ATI
cards it seems mirror is the most reliable. It would be nice to have this
config come up after a reboot if possible.
Thanks!
.
