I am having the same issue as above
I went to the event finder, nothing under media center but plenty under
applications
Event Info: Guide creation error.
Process: DefaultDomain
Object Name: Media Center Guide
Event Info: InvalidCastException trying to create ehepgdat helper.
Process: DefaultDomain
Object Name: Microsoft.Ehome.Epg.Helper.EhepgdatHelper
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

HP help desk told me to resetup the Media Center by deleting the settings in
the registry. It reset my Media Center but the same "generating error
report" came up and it crashes again
PLEASE HELP
