Resolution on TV is bad....please help!

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I have a 2-1/2 year old flat-screen TV (36") connected to my new XP Media
Center PC. When watching TV or movies, the resolution is fine, but when I'm
working on desktop or online, it's basically unreadable. I've tried to
follow the instructions in the setup manual for adjusting the resolution, but
it didn't change it.

Also, the dimensions of what is being displayed is slightly larger than my
screen (usually noticed when I'm in the Settings), so some of the information
is getting cut off. I can't find horizontal/vertical shift on my TV
set....is there another option?

Thanks, Amy
.
