Error code 4 on installation

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I guess someone hacked my computer and erased some files so i formatted my
hard drive and now when i go to install clean, i am getting an error code 4
after it tries to load some of the files. It says:

File setupdd.sys could not be loaded.
The error code is 4

Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.
-----------------------------------------------
I have a copy of windows 2k that did this and i ordered a copy of media
center 2k5 and it says the same. Anyone know what the fix is for this?
