But CF cards are basically IDE in a new wrapper, so it opens a very
interesting thought if you were to use an IDE to CF adapter thus avoiding
the pitfalls of USB based reinitialization if the CF card was on that bus.

5GB CF on an IDE bus might be nice.. But am I remembering correctly that CF
memory has a limited (albeit high) number of rewrites? The paging and temp
files might kill that unless they were on another drive.
