Re: More XBox Extender Setup Woes

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks, guys.

I got it working finally but it was certainly a different from when I did my
initial install. As the PC was trying to connect to the XBox, I went to the
XBox and had it try to connect to the PC. I could see it try to connect to
the PC and I even saw the XBox MCE home screen (briefly) before the XBox
unceremoniously disconnected from the PC. When I went back to PC, the
installation had magically completed and as soon as I exited the
installation I could connect.

This is unlike my first installation where the PC connected to the XBox
without my intervention on the XBox side. So it ended up not being the
D-Link gaming adapter or the D-Link router.

Thanks again for you help.

Best,
Walt

In order to make it easier to give Todd the list of running processes, see
www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This gives a
very readable output. You can just copy and paste the Running Processes
section.
