According to what I see by googling on csrss.exe, it appears that many
viruses also claim to be csrss.exe. This could account for the spike you're
seeing...it isn't the real one but rather a virus one. You might give
Microsoft's AntiSpyWare beta a try, and use a good antivirus product too
(NOTE: by 'good' I don't mean Norton. AVG is a better one, and it's free
from www.grisoft.com). You might also take a look at your firewall outgoing
logs...or if you have no outgoing protection, use the free ZoneAlarm from
www.zonelabs.com.
