Hi All,
Although I've already mentioned this in other posts, I just wanted to post
it here for the sake of completeness, just in case someone happens to come
across this thread and is curious about the issue. The upgrade to 1.01 has
solved this problem.
Before upgrading to the new version, I uninstalled the MCX software from my
PC and also removed the block of memory occupied by MCX on the XBox. This
removed all prior memory of the the extender on my PC as well as on the XBox.
The new version solved the online spotlight problem. Moreover, it also
addresses the "restricted content" issue, as advertised. However, restricted
contect recorded prior to the upgrade still does not play on the MCX.
I would like to add that the online spotlight issue may not necessarily have
been resolved by the upgrade (since it worked for me for a while even with
the original version). I suspect that had I done the uninstall with the
original version as well, the online spotlight would have worked, but I never
had a chance to try that out.
Anyway, I am ecstatic about the XBox MCX. Calling it a terrific value for
money would be an understatement. I am just happy that things work fine.
