I didn't mean to scare... maybe I should elaborate.
The problem I had was a TOTAL of ~4gig of transfers before the harddrive
gave a "Delayed Write Failed" and I had to turn it off and on again.
So 2x 2gig files wouldn't work for me either, unless I turned the drive off
then on again after each file.
If you're able to copy 2x 2gb without any probs, then hopefully all you have
is the FAT32 issue.
If not, then regardless of internal or external-ness, all data transfers go
via the PCI bus, so its kinda crappy :(
