Re: XP will not load; how to back up data?



First off, I'd suggest a Windows Group (XP?) instead of a Media Center
group.
Secondly, do you have a bootable floppy disk? Try that and see if you can
get to the C:\ that way, just to check.
If you can you should be able to copy off to floppy disk that way, CD Writer
isnt that simple.
My ideal suggestion would be to pull the Hard Drive and plug it in as a
secondary one in another system and copy off what you need.
If that isnt possible you should be able to run the Recover option from the
Windows install. That MAY be able to get back enough of Windows to allow you
to get your stuff off, then I would wipe/reload.
