Wow, thanks for your prompt response, Dan and MGG.

To answer your question: I plugged the sound cable into the TV Tuner card.
The Tuner card only has a socket for a 1/4" audio jack. So, upon someone's
advice here (Peter's?), I bought a cable that has RCA jacks on one end (for
my cable box) and the 1/4" audio jack on the other.

Everything "fits," and I'm confident that I plugged the 1/4" jack into the
tuner card, because it's right next to the S-Video socket. But no sound.
Not a peep.

Does that help? Any thoughts?
