I have been using them for about three months (I have two of them with dual
tuners and dual IR blasters) and they have not missed a show. I did have to
reporgram MCE to use slow channel changing (that was a precaution).

I will say this, don't apply the teardrop on the spot that you first think
is the IR receiver, because it's not. It's actually best to place the
teardrops directly over the power LED (the one that's green when the box is
turned on). I did have to manually program the remote signals.

I was very worried when I went to buy my DirecTV system, but I was able to
access the Internet at the store and found some great support for the serial
control. It turns out that I was able to use the IR blaster (something I
was DEADSET against at first) and I have been (surprisingly) satisfied with
the result.

Now, if only I could have as much confidence in my GeForce 5200 card's
S-Video output.

Buy those series 10s with no worries, they work great with MCE.
