I have seen this posted before here and on several other forums. Nobody has
ever responded. I am hoping an MVP or an MSFT will be able to provide us
with an answer.
Here is the problem:
Channel 2-1 (Local CBS Station) shows up in the guide as it should, but when
I tune to it, I get a "no signal" error. If I check the signal, it shows
there is NO signal for that station. The actual frequency for 2-1 is 34, so
I add a missing channel and assign 34 as the frequency. I then check the
signal strength of my new channel 34, it was 100%. I tried tuning to my new
channel 34, but got a "no signal" error message. So with the "no signal"
error displaying on 34, I decided to tune to channel 2-1, and it tuned in
just fine, no stuttering or anything. If I tune away from 2-1 and then try to
go back, I get a "no signal" error again. I have to tune to 34 first, then
2-1 in order to get it to tune in.
If I install the software that came with my HDTV Wonder and try tuning to
2-1, it works fine. This seems to be an MCE 2005 problem.
There is a post going at http://www.xpmce.com/forum/ftopic91819.html where
several of us are having this exact same problem.
Any ideas how to correct this problem???
