Actually, that's not true at all - the Nvidia/LSI solution has full
DirectShow support (which is why it works under Media Center). There's
really nothing custom about the implementation preventing it from being used
outside of Media Center; for that matter, there's really nothing special or
proprietary about TV capture in Media Center. If you're interested in
capturing TV with the Nvidia tuner outside of Media Center, all you need is
an application that builds the correct DirectShow capture graph.
