John, I would just use the XP pro ... if you don't want the added features of
MC. For editing software for DVDs , movies, music burning, etc. I use
intervideo WinDVD for televised football games (large files for burning ...
it supports double layer DVD formatted discs ) I use Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus
for my camcorder movies ( DVD burning) I use Roxio Media Creator 7 for
creating my movies with their storyboard. maybe this helps .maybe not .if u
need more info on these programs ( that's if you're not already using them )
