Do you have the same video problems when just running to the LCD monitor?

Suggest you try standard 720p to your TV which 1280x720@60Hz . The
manufacturers have spent millions to insure that the standard ATSC
resolutions 480p 720p and 1080i from OTA, Cable or Satellite will do an
excellent job of rescaling these resolutions to the native resolution of
their TVs
Also you should be able to make any changes you need with the Video control
tools of the 5.1 driver without use of Powerstrip. However, since I use
NVIDIA cards instead of ATI cards I do not know any of the details.
