When I play a DVD or a divx movie, the video image disappears and it is
replaced by the mouse pointer and controls menu in the moment I move the
mouse or enter commands from the remote. If a DVD plays, when I press the
stop button, a menu appears (I am asked if I want to resume the play, etc) on
a flickering background.
I use POWER DVD 6.0 (fully compatible with MCE, according with Decoder
checkup utility) and latest DIVX codec (DIVX PRO 5.2.1). I have disabled the
Overlay Extended Mode in the codec, but without any positive or visible
results. I use the latest ATI video card drivers (5.1) and the Direct 3D is
set to “application dependent”.
There is no other monitor connected to the Media Center. The plasma TV is
the primary (and only) connected display (resolution 1024x768).
Not to mention, that if I play the DVD or divx in other applications (Power
DVD, Beyond Media, etc.), everything runs perfect.
