ok still a little unclear with your answers

what about using the extender?

can i watch live tv on the computer if the only way i am connected to a
cable signal is through ethernet through a Linksys Extender?

same question with recording the Live TV to the computer if the only
connection to a cable signal is through an extender via ethernet?
