Before I installed MCE 2005 on my HP 873n, it had
become very sluggish, probably due to the countless
number of programs, upgrades, & updates I had installed
& uninstalled over the past few years.
When I installed MCE 2005 (complete HD format, &
clean install from MSDN), I actually got better
performance that what I had gotten used to.
So my experience isn't a good basis for you to
go by. Hopefully some other HP-upgrade users
can offer their (more relavant) experiences.
