A gentlemen called " Elephant boy" has the solution, and it is as follows:
Start>Run>CMD [enter]
type netsh winsock reset [enter]
after you get out of the CMD dos mode reboot
all fixed.
Note: I have a second computer runing Norton 2005 with it's own firewall,
the procedure also works on this computer.
