I have the same [roblem with my mouse. My solution for the wireless HP mouse
is to a.make sure the batteries are charges, or have enough left energy in
them to send a boot signal to remote USB sensor B. if the blue boot LED light
does not flash when you press any mouse key; simply turn the mouse over (HP)
and on the underside (right) there is a RESET buton >> c. THEN: first, push
the connect putton on your USB sensor then immediate;y using a ball-point pen
push and hold the opaque rset mouse button and start clicking any one of the
mouse keys. The sensor's blue mouse LED should flash with each click & your
mouse icon should begin movement on your screen. The underlying problem is
that the mouse is waiting for ALL of your STRAT-UP programs *including* all
of those which are minimized & running in th CPU's background, i.e., adaware,
spy detectors, virus and firewall software. You might need to shorten your
START-up list of programs
and your computer will not only boot faster but will RUN faster & more
smoothly. Check with either HP(preferably) or MS (if you're still under
warranty with MS). HP won't charge you for the service as you can even go
online with an HPagent & get tech help. P.S it helps if your NOT using your
home hone line, or have a DSL or Broadband www connection. NEVER USE YOUR
CELL PHONE, as roving cellular thieves are now stealing and accessing your PC
via BOTH wireless networking and via your cell if your not careful enough to
FIREWALL your PC HEAVILY ! Good Luck. Mark
