Is it possible that your bedroom is on a separate subnet from your MCE PC?
Either way, the easiest place to start is to remove and re-add your
Extender: launch the MCX Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Accessories -->
Media Center --> Media Center Extender Manager), select your Extender, click
Properties, select Remove. Next, select File --> Add a new Extender... and
type in the 8-digit code displayed on the screen of your Xbox
