Well I believe that I am stumped since you now have shown that it is not
disk drive or memory related. I have not been able to find any other
reports of a problem starting after an extended period of time that stops as
soon as the recording or watching is stopped and restarted,. The only
possibility that you have not tried AFAIK it to put the F drive as the only
drive on its IDE bus. Since you tried another driver other than the
Conexent it does not appear to be a Conexent problem but their 2nd or 3rd
level support may have some ideas. You might start a new thread titled "Why
Video stuttering after 40 minutes?" and maybe someone will recognize the
problem. I have also been looking on some of the sub forums on AVSFORUM.com
such as the HTPC Home Theater sub forum but have not found anything related.
You might try posting a thread there also.
