Sorry to say I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to point out that
you are not alone with this problem. Although the error code you mentioned is
different than the one we are discussing in a different thread, you might
want to follow it. It's called "Extender Causes Event ID 8 with ehshell.exe"
with the error 00020002 (Using the search tool and enter this error code will
help you find the message thread).
I'm wondering though. You mention that you have rebuilt your machine and are
still not able to get the MCX to work. Do you install all the Microsoft
updates before trying to get the MCX to work?
Read the prior mentioned thread and you will see why I ask.
