I have configured the bridge to match my router's settings already.

The bridge is a Belkin F5D7330.

I have considered trading in for a different model that was suggested on
this news group but the box did say I could configure it for the xbox.

And why would the media center extender setup tell me to go to my XBOX
configuration to input SSID and wireless password when I have not found these
options under the XBOX settings screens?

Thanks for your assistance so far but I am one not to give up so easily.
