Closed Caption fails on new plasma TV

OK, closed captioning worked fine when I was using my old Mitsubishi 60"
HDTV. I replaced it with a Panasonic Plasma, and my closed captioning now is
just a green box. It pops up wherever the captions would, but no words
visible. As if something changed somewhere in the overlay settings.

It fails on both DVD as well as live / recorded TV.

I'll be going into the video drivers and such (latest Nvidia on a FX5200) to
see if I can get them working again by checking out any of those settings,
but figured I'd see if anyone else already tackled this problem and has the
quick fix.
