My PC MCE2004 works fine right after turning on the PC. But if I load any
other software (Outlook for example), then if I try to open the Media Center,
all I get is a black screen. I have updated all drivers in the PC (currently
have an NVidia 6.6.9.3 which is the last version). I have also tried to force
different refresh speeds (currently at 60Hz), and even different screen
resolutions (have tried them all, but currently at 1280x1024). Nothing seems
to work, other than turning the PC off and back on again (not even logging
off/on). I've read most messages posted here, but other than the video
drivers, none seem to actually solve the problem. I have also noticed that
there are many about the same NVidia FX5200 card - is this card compatible
with XP SP2? By the way, all problems started with the installation of SP2.
Just for reference, my pc is a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ54G. I've seen that some
people have solved their problem by upgrading to MCE2005 but Sony ripped us
off by not supporting that version!! Can anyone provide me with more info to
solve my problem?
