Ok. I learnt something new.
I have now found the menu on my Pace 4000 cable box and selected RGB output
(there are only 2 options: composite and rgb). Yes, the picture quality is
better when viewed directly on my TV.
Now, as noted previously, I have a scart adapter and connect my PC using a
composite video cable. Even though I have changed the output of the cable box
to RGB, the composite video cables still work and my PC receives a colour
signal. If I was to attach an s-video cable to the adapter and then setup my
PC to receive s-video instead of composite, will I receive a colour signal? I
have spent so much time doing this in the past, I am loathed to do more
testing unless I know it will definitely work.
