How do you over-ride album covers in the music library (My Music)?
For Example, "The Best of the Doors" (60's, Jim Morrison) is a two-disc
CD Set. If you let the system look up the information for these two
discs, both of them are correctly in whatever music library that the
album lookup function uses.
HOWEVER, in the database, Disc 2 has a correct JPEG for the album cover,
while Disc 1 has no artwork at all and you get the "generic" artwork.
I've found quite a few other cases where the actual artwork is
associated with the wrong album, or where there is no artwork.
Well, what I want to do is to tell it "use this file for the artwork",
and browse to a particular JPEG file (which, in some cases, might be a
file that I've scanned, but in the case of "The Doors", let Disc 1 use
Disc 2's artwork).
However, I've found no way to do this. In fact, I've spent a good 6-10
hours screwing with this, even going so far as to copy the Disc 2
artwork to the Disk 1 folder, giving it the filename of the "generic"
JPEG in the disc 1 folder (effectively, changing the contents of a JPEG
file while keeping the filename the same). Even this doesn't work, however.
Also, I can't find out how/where MCE's "My Music" function manages the
artwork displayed not for the album but for individual songs. The tag
editor in the paid version of Music Match Jukebox will insert JPEG cover
art into the tags of individual songs, and I've been able to get MCE to
display those covers, but that's not what it NORMALLY does.
Is there any information on this subject available? Clearly, in a
situation like that of the Door's 2-disc set, there should be some way
to over-ride or "fake out" the fact that Disc 1 has no cover artwork
while Disc 2 does (in fact, they come in the same physical jewel case).
