As I said - Pre installed PCs - no issue, the build it yourself, no
support, OEM CD using - should be technically savvy enough to understand
what is going on.
Windows Media Center Edition 2005 is an OEM product. The setup is fine for
them as it allows for the flexibly of XPSP2, MCE2005 and Tablet 2004
installs and there is no additional development effort wasted on coding or
testing unnecessary code in the setup to figure out what it is returning
from and then to change the requested name for CD1 for user who should not
be exposed to an OEM product. We removed the wasted effort on the splash
screen, so it is only understandable that this may also be seen as
unnecessary effort.
