Terri,

The setup engine is actually generic in that depending on which product key
you put in you either get a Windows XP Pro SP2 install or a MCE 2005 or a
TabletPC 2004 install; so in all cases the disk #1 is as the original poster
surmised the Windows XP Pro SP2 disk hence the text for the request to
reinsert it when the add-on component has finished - you just see the same
request for the disk as you would if you had ejected it part way through the
XP Pro SP2 setup.

I realise this is no comfort but since end users will usually be buying
MCE2005 preinstalled they will not be exposed to the setup process (even
when using recovery CDs or partitions). The technically skilled building
their own MCE and using OEM media will be able to cope with the
technicalities of the install process discussed above.
