We have installed oem mce2005 on an hp zd7030 notebook.
It was not easy.
Ok from reading your post the fact that you can use wintv2000 is bad news,
installing the hauppage software other than just the drivers has been known
to disable mce 2004 and 2005. Its the way it handles the video decoders.
You may need to do another clean install and than just use the drivers from
the shspvr site. Specific versions are required. (see our webpage). Also the
only way we got it to work was with the nvida decoder software. 19.00 from
there site.
