Just wanted to give an update to all who might need the info. As stated in
my previous post I installed an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Even after downloading
the drivers from windows update (which had a driver date of 12/2003) I
couldn't get the card to work because MCE would give an error of
"incomaptible card or driver." A download of the latest Catalyst driver from
ATI fixed that problem. Additionally the installation of the 9800 fixed the
problem I was experiencing that started this thread in the first place. So,
it was indeed an underpowered graphics card. Good info. Additionally I
still don't know which decoder software I'm running. I assume that it's the
WinDVD software since I installed the WinDVD6 software that I purchased.
Hope this info helps.
