Hi Mark,
You might try accessing the files or folders while in "safe mode". This
worked for me in a similar situation. It might allow you to take ownership
of the files.
Here is the path that worked for me:
for the files or folders in question, right click | choose Properties |
click Security tab | security dialog box, click yes | advanced button |
click Owner tab | select desired owner | check replace owner on
subcontainers and objects | click Apply | security dialog box, click yes |
OK out | OK out.
I could only accomplish this in "safe mode". No garantees, but it might
work for you.
