I have an Hp 873n with all the problems that have been mentioned with my
music. I have installed the sp2 from the windows update site after
downloading all of the hp suggested updates. My music dosn't work. I have
restored my computer, my music works fine again. I have installed sp2 about
four times now with the same result. I ordered a cd from micorsoft, loaded
it, still have the same problems with my music. I unistalled the sp2 this
time from add remove programs, (that was a mistake!) couldn't even open MCE.
I restored computer again----all works fine again. I have been working on
this for a while---- I guess that I will have to wait until a fix for this
problem comes out. I believe that there are a lot more of us out there that
you just haven't heard from yet. HP nor Microsoft doesn't have a clue as to
why this is happening. I have one of the first MCE when it came out in
October 2002---Could this have something to do with it?
