Cyberlink Powerdirector and DVR-MS

Any experiences with this product? I read one post that referenced it. It sounds like it would allow me to convert recorded T.V., edit it, and fit more of it on a dvd. It also sounds like it would allow me to work effectively on my home movie transfer product.

My leading choice was Ulead (but no DVR-MS compatibility).

Any feedback, advice, suggestions?
