Have had the same problem with HP 873 for a year and a half. I reboot
daily and am convinced it's a problem with the Emuzed card. It seems that
the card looses audio and the only resolution is a reboot to reset the card.
This was prevalent in MCE 2002 and improved in MCE 2004, but has not been
totally fixed.

Ctr), all subsequent programs are recorded w/o audio.

OUTLOOK; that is it seems to lose the capability to record sound coincident
and subsequent to the running of OUTLOOK. This is true some of the time but
is not consistent.
