MCE'ers,
I've been debating whether or not to get an MCE desktop for
about 2 months now and every time I'm about to take the plunge I end
up getting discouraged by a magazine review or post that tells me not
to expect to get picture quality as good as that of a regular
television set.I even went down to my local Compusa/Circuit City/Best
Buy stores to look at the top Mce pc's from Sony and HP in action and
was not very impressed with the video quality. I do not want to spend
$2500 or more on a computer/monitor and not be satisfied with the
video quality. And I even notice that there are people in this group
that have upgraded their tuner/video cards to the supposed top models
like the Haupauge 250 or 350 and still complain of inferior to tv
picture quality. It seems to me that maybe they haven't got either the
hardware or software totally figured out yet.Can anyone tell me where
the problem is? Is it the tuner card? Monitor? Drivers? Is it the
cable signal? and by the way, are there any cards that accept digital
cable input?
Any comments/suggestions/advice are welcomed.
                               thanks, J.B.
