Has anyone done a packet trace on this process to see what is going on under
the wraps? We haven't bothered to look, so I'll just ask here - what port
does the EPG update process use? If it is a standard Port 80 request (or is
it doing an FTP get?), I would have a tough time accepting this explanation.
If it requires something specific, then things could break if a certain port
is required to be opened dynamically and that part is not working correctly
(I believe all of our current "functioning correctly" setups are using the
dynamic NAT Traversal features of standard IGDs, with ICF enabled, via
UPnP(tm) technologies). Another thought would be something that may have
changed in the way the XML-based data is getting parsed on the machine (is
it using Java-based scripts per chance?).
