yes, there is no issue with a straight Radeon display card replacing an
existing display card. The Catalyst release notes list MCE compatibility so
its not true that ATI doesnt support MCE.

there is an issue with All-In-Wonder cards that you have to disable the
tuner portion but there is no issue with Radeon.

ATI will continue to work on and expand their MCE offerings, including
getting a path for upgraders to use All-In-Wonders but we arent quite there
yet with the A-I-W capture driver package.

ATI is "in MCE" for the long run and will hopefully excite people with our
plans over the next year.
